Louisiana Newborn Photographer – Jaci Crouch

Hi! If you’ve found yourself here looking at his giant photo of me, then you must want to know a little about me, so here it goes! 

 

We will go ahead and get this out of the way because EVERYONE wonders….. Jay-See <– That’s how you pronounce it! 😉

 

First and foremost, I am a wife and mother to that wild crew up there. Together my husband Tracy and I have seven wonderful children from age 16 to 5. They keep us on our toes and so very busy, but we are incredibly blessed and thankful for each and every one of them. So in case, you were worried at all, I have PLENTY of experience with kids, to say the least! My husband and I enjoy spending time together between our crazy work schedules and children, so he often assists me during sessions so don’t be surprised if you see him at your session. He supports me in everything I do, loves to watch me pursue my passion, and enjoys talking to and meeting my clients who often turn into friends and family. 

 

I graduated in 2009 from McNeese State University in Louisiana with a nursing degree. As an RN over the years, I have pursued my love for helping others in the Emergency Department, Intensive Care, Same-Day Surgery, and Hospice and still currently work as an RN in my hometown. In 2012, after my second son was born I asked for a “real camera” so that I could capture images of him growing. I continued to educate myself and practiced every chance I could and then it just sort of evolved into a really expensive hobby which eventually turned into the beginning of JCP.  Oh, but did I fall head over heels in love with newborn and children’s photography!  Since opening my business in 2012, I have pursued this with my whole heart and I pray that shows in my work. I have since been able to photograph over 1,000 beautiful newborns and countless children and families. I have also received multiple awards and recognitions which is just absolutely mind-blowing for me. I never thought that little hobby would turn into something as wonderful as JCP. 

 So many families have trusted me to capture this special moment in their lives and that is truly an honor. So many of them I call friends and family now and for that, I am so very thankful.  It is my prayer that you will look back at your portraits from our time together and be instantly brought back to how you felt watching your body create life, the first moment you laid eyes on your brand new baby, those little tiny fingers and toes that you’re now wrapped around, their big milestones as their first year flew by and every special moment in between.
